- Toll roads: There is one main toll road in Marbella leading from the airport to the city center: the AP7. In SIXT we can help you out with that. Ask about the prepaid-toll program when you pick up your car.
- No right on red: If you’re coming from the US, you may be used to turning right at red lights. However, this is not allowed anywhere in Spain, including Marbella.
- Share the road: Marbella has an abundance of bus stops within the city center, especially around Old Town. When driving around, beware of buses pulling in and out of stops and, as always, be cautious around pedestrian-heavy areas.
- Roundabouts: Marbella has many roundabouts, or rotaries, especially around El Mirador. Since there are no traffic lights at roundabouts, cars inside the roundabout have the right of way.
