Sixt was perfect for us! From start to beginning we had a smooth rental. We were wary since the reviews at this time weren't flattering, but we took advice (bought insurance, arrived early to appointment, made sure we had passports in hand), and we had zero issues. The check in employee was quick, and the employees helping in the garage were both kind and funny! The car itself was beautifully maintained and drove very well to the French countryside. It was raining that day, and the wipers worked very well. This review is long overdue, but I'm so happy to see the good reviews because they deserve it!

Great location in Central Paris for picking up a car. Staff very friendly and helpful. New clean car/SUV. As expected, lots of traffic in the city and getting to your car and returning it is a bit more complicated in terms of rental parking location, but it was explained clearly with instructions provided in writing as well. Plan ahead. If parking inside Paris, reserve a local parking place for you to use during your rental so you have it available when you get your car. Driving in France, especially in/out of Paris could be expensive. Lots of tolls ($$$) and gas costs are a lot more than in the U.S. Plan your routes. In my case I used the car only a couple of days out of eight days in Paris. I picked up the car by taking the subway from my hotel to the rental location (using closest subway station thanks to Google Maps). Very easy to do.
